Morcambe RAM Past Commanders Night

 

  
When the Provincial Grand Secretary, Geoff Lee,  invited me to his Ark Mariner Lodge I had no idea what a treat was in store for me. Sadly the candidate for Elevation was unable to attend. But that did not faze this experienced crew of Mariners.
   
The Worshipful Commander, Peter Jackson quickly appointed W.Bro Tony Harrison RAMGR, Past DPGM, to be his Senior Warden, W.Bro Brian Davey Prov. RAMGR, Special Representative, to be his Junior Warden, W.Bro. Brian Ellis to be Senior Deacon and John Wild Prov. RAMGR to be Guardian. The recently deposed Lodge Senior Deacon Bro. Alan Dean became the candidate. The Commander and his highly qualified team them proceeded to show us how to do it, and what a superb job they did.

Not content with his Wardens duties W.Bro. Harrison presented the signs in an exemplary manner, showing his latest preferment in the Craft had not taken his eye of the Mariners ritual. The steps were explained by the Lodge DC W.Bro. Alan Gregory in a fine manner.
On conclusion of the ceremony the Lodge Wardens then resumed their duties until the lodge was closed and we retired to a pleasant meal of a mackerel starter followed by a chicken main course.
 

As we traveled home I couldn't help feeling that there must be some north Lancashire Mark Masons who need to get involved in Morecambe RAM. Of course their social on Sunday the 11th March would be an ideal opportunity. I’m sure Malcolm Cambidge will accommodate them. Mike Beesley
